
HAWKS ROUTE IN THIRD PERIOD

The Mitchell Hawks played 20 minutes of inspired hockey in the third period Friday night against the Wingham Ironmen scoring 5 times , as they won 6-3 .
Nick Jung's power play goal with 1:46 remaining in the second period , cut the Ironmen lead in half heading to the second intermission to 2-1. Then,
the flood gates opened as Drew Gross scored 2:17 , and Haddock 55 seconds later gave the Hawks there first lead of the night at 3-2. Wingham answered right away , then Kyle Spence scored the eventual game winner at 10:35 on a nice feed from Chace Duckworth . Quinton Haddock then added a power play goal , and Derek Elliott scored later to secure the 6-3 win , and head back Saturday to Mitchell to take on the Goderich Flyers game time 7 pm.
