The Mitchell Hawks recovered from a tough first opening 10 minutes trailing 3-1, and trailing 4-2 with with seven minutes remaining , as Patrick McLellan scored , and Kevin Baetz scored on a two man advantage with 3:28 remaining to tie the game and send it to overtime. Then Jared Culliton scored in tight just off the iron just 4:22 in to the first overtime to give the Hawks a 5-4 win and more importantly draws them even with the Patriots at a game apiece. Pat Looby and Ryan Magagnin also scored in the win, and Tyler Van Drunen added a pair of assists. Mitchell outshot Mt.Forest 39-17. Game three goes Sat night at 715pm at the Mitchell arena.
